As for dancing, as far back as I can remember I was moved by music, and knew no greater thrill than to let my entire being be stirred by moving to it. So, I became a dancer and discovered that, along with the unbridled joy I felt when I danced, I also embraced the technique, discipline, and structure that allowed me to excel. I studied and taught classical ballet, jazz, and modern dance for years until I shifted my venue to ballroom dancing, and have been teaching or competing ever since. I am very much at home on the dance floor. Dance has become so much a part of me, it is not merely what I do, it is who I am.
But, my adventuresome spirit has also allowed me to explore my other passion, that of organizing. I have always been engaged by well-ordered spaces and thought processes, and excited about the prospect of creating order where little or none existed before.
I have led the life of a gypsy, never resting my feet in one place for any length of time. My dad is retired Air Force, and my husband is active duty Air Force, so moving every few years has become a way of life. I have continually adapted to new environments, and learned to “bloom where I am planted.” Through this, my propensity to organize has become an art form. After years of organizing my own home, not to mention every dance studio I ever worked at, I thought, “Lord, what else would you have me do with this passion for organizing?” And he said, “Use this gift to help others, and start your own business.” Now for a girl who’d spent the majority of her life on the dance floor, and was a total green horn to the business world, this was a tall order! But by and by, I continue to learn that I am well-equipped for this business because of my life experience. And whatever I don’t have, God lovingly provides.
Presently, I spend my days alternately organizing for clients, dancing, and spending time with my loving husband, Tim, and our little beagle, Lucie.
